Was kann als “gelungene Integration” verstanden werden? Und welche ethischen und rechtlichen Fragen sind damit verbunden? Ohne Zweifel ist die Immigration nur der erste Schritt eines langeren Prozesses, an dessen Ende nach der allgemeinen Vorstellung im Idealfall eine “gelungene Integration” in die neue Gesellschaft steht. Diesem politisch formulierten Ziel stimmen weite Teile der Bevolkerung zu. Der Begriff der “(gelungenen) Integration” ist somit normativ aufgeladen und legt bestimmte zu erreichende Ziele, die auf Wertvorstellungen und Uberzeugungen basieren, nahe. Im Detail sind jedoch viele Fragen umstritten. Die Autorinnen und Autoren tragen sowohl ethische als auch rechtliche Perspektiven aus Belgien, Deutschland, Osterreich und der Schweiz zur Klarung des gesetzlich verankerten Integrationsbegriffes bei. Sie hinterfragen die Ziele der Integration und beleuchten Akteure sowie gewahlte Mittel kritisch.
