Thank you for your interest in working with us. ISD partners with scholarly and academic publishers to provide sales, marketing, fulfillment, metadata management, customer support, and digital distribution services throughout North America and beyond.
Publishers interested in discussing a potential partnership should contact Ian Stevens at ian@isdistribution.com. We also encourage you to visit our About ISD page, which provides an overview of our full-service distribution model
Publishers seeking information about book design, typesetting, and production services should visit our Typesetting & Prepress page.
Existing Publishers
Publisher Central
Existing publishers can access sales, inventory, and marketing information through ISD Publisher Central.
Publisher Central provides access to a wide range of reporting and operational information, including sales activity, backorders, inventory levels, consignment activity, marketing campaigns, customer orders, and title performance data. Publishers are encouraged to use Publisher Central as their primary source for up-to-date information regarding their titles and account activity.
If you need assistance accessing ISD Publisher Central or require login credentials, please contact matthew@isdistribution.com.
Metadata & Digital Asset Delivery
Accurate metadata is essential to maximizing discoverability and sales.
ISD accepts metadata in multiple formats and strongly encourages publishers to supply metadata via ONIX 3.0 or ONIX 3.1 whenever possible. Publishers may also submit title information using ISD’s Metadata Template or Google Form.
Publishers may submit metadata files, title information sheets, cover images, and eBook files through the ISD FTP Client.
Metadata files and related questions should be directed to allyce@isdistribution.com.
Marketing & Promotion
ISD actively promotes publisher titles through a variety of marketing channels, including:
- Subject-specific email newsletters
- Seasonal and thematic catalogs
- Digital and print leaflets
- Conference exhibits
- Social media campaigns
- Library and bookseller outreach
Publishers are encouraged to review ISD’s newsletters, catalogs, and promotional materials to better understand how titles are marketed throughout the year.
For information regarding upcoming conferences and exhibits, please visit our Conferences page.

Publishers are encouraged to follow ISD’s social media channels and tag ISD in relevant posts, announcements, reviews, awards, author events, new publications, and other newsworthy developments.
