The creative force in the writings of Goliarda Sapienza may be analysed through the wide-ranging concept of playing, or ludus. Children and actors play, and, somehow, spectators themselves may play at watching, each of those playing modes a phase of the overarching writing process leading to the (re)construction of the self.
