Entre la Manne et l’Eucharistie
Etude de Sg 16,15-17: La Manne dans le livre de la Sagesse, synthese de traditions et preparation au Mystere Eucharistique

Le livre de la Sagesse est une synthese de divers courants de pensee. L’etude du poeme concernano la manne met en valeur l’apport des cultures juive, grecque et egyptienne, et la specificite de Sg. La prmiere partie de ce travail analyse la structure litteraire du texte et en extrait les principaux themes: la nourriture et la vie, la creation, la parole, la priere, l’immortalite. Apres une presentation des teste anciens temoins des grandes traditions sur la manne, la deuxieme partie confronte leur maniere d’aborder les themes choisis avec les affirmations de Sg. Une profondeur et une originalite etonnantes apparaissent alors. La troisieme partie met en lumiere les liens du texte avec le Nouveau Testament et les ecrits des Peres, laissant deiner des points de contact entre les idees de Sg et l’Eglise primitive, indispensables pour la comprehension du mystere eucharistique. Comme le souligne M. Gilbert, dans la preface, Les temoignages des auteurs chretiens sont precieux pour mesurer l’impact de ce poeme sur la pensee chretienne. Le lecteur decouvrira les richesses souvent insoupconnees d’un texte don’t la portee theologique et spirituelle ne lui echappera pas, nous l’esperons.
