Die Arbeit untersucht syntaktische Einflusse des Neupersischen auf das gesprochene Aserbaidschanisch von Iran. Unter den turkischen Sprachen und Varietaten Irans, von denen keine eine standardisierte Schriftsprache besitzt, stellt das Iran-Aserbaidschanische die Turksprache mit der weitaus grossten Sprecherzahl dar. Die starke Dominanz des Neupersischen und die seit Generationen vorherrschende Zweisprachigkeit der Iran-Aserbaidschaner haben dazu gefuhrt, dass das Iran-Aserbaidschanische starken persischen Einflussen ausgesetzt ist.Im Vordergrund der Arbeit stehen sprachkontaktbedingte Strukturveranderungen, die innerhalb der Morphologie und Syntax zu beobachten sind. Die Analyse basiert auf Sprachmaterialien, die wahrend mehrmaligen Feldforschungsaufenthalten in Iran, vornehmlich in Tabriz und Umgebung, gesammelt wurden.
