This volume presents a selection of eighty articles and book chapters by the celebrated Anatolianist and Indo-Europeanist H. Craig Melchert, of which one—an extensive survey of the position of Anatolian within the Indo-European family—has not previously been published. The collection also boasts the valuable addition of newly composed commentary in the form of hundreds of appended annotations, giving the author the opportunity to critique his earlier work and put it in conversation with subsequent scholarship. Each previously published piece has been corrected and retypeset to give a unified look to the volume, which is rounded off with a full index of the word-forms discussed.
