Si une meme ardeur, si un desir pareil peut attirer et entrainer un sexe et l’autre vers ce doux but d’amour, qui est considere comme un coupable exces par l’ignorant vulgaire, pourquoi doit-on punir ou blamer une femme parce qu’elle a commis avec un ou plus d’un ce que fait l’homme avec celles dont il a faim et, loin d’etre puni, en est complimente? Par cette loi inegale des torts expres sont a la verite causes a toute femme, et j’espere montrer grace a Dieu que ce fut un grand mal de l’avoir si longtemps supportee . Chacun convint avec Renaud que les anciens avaient ete mal avises et fort injustes, en donnant leur accord a cette inique loi, et que le roi fait mal de ne pas l’amender.
