English summary: Rudiger Lux presents a collection of partly previously unpublished studies about Haggai and Zechariah 1-8. In one essay, he deals with the composition of Haggai and Proto-Zechariah. Several other cultural studies are dedicated to the relationship between icon, vision and text in the night visions of Zechariah. He also discusses the prophetic conceptions of the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the Second Temple in exilic and post-exilic times and illuminates the marginal role of the Persian government in this matter, unlike the description given in Ezra and Nehemiah. Three theological studies deal with the appearance and the meaning of the glory and the spirit of Yahweh, the concept of conditional salvation in Zech 1:1-6 and the relationship between Yahweh, Israel and the nations. In conclusion, the author describes Zechariah’s calling, the figure and function of the angelus interpres and the problem of preaching from prophetic texts. Ausgehend von einer kompositionsgeschichtlichen Analyse beschaftigt er sich im ersten Teil mit dem Verhaltnis von Bild und Text in den Nachtgesichten des Sacharja. Dabei bietet er neuere kulturwissenschaftliche Einsichten der Bildanthropologie in ihrer Bedeutung fur den Wirklichkeitsbezug von Visionen. Der zweite Teil enthalt sieben Arbeiten zum Wiederaufbau Jerusalems sowie des Tempels und seiner Symbolik in der fruhen Perserzeit. Rudiger Lux weist darauf hin, dass die fruhnachexilische Prophetie einen lebhaften und kontroversen Diskurs uber unterschiedliche Wiederaufbaukonzepte fuhrte, in denen – im Unterschied zu der Darstellung bei Esra und Nehemia – die persische Reichsregierung allenfalls eine marginale Rolle spielte. Der Bau des Zweiten Tempels verdankte sich nach Haggai und Sacharja einer prophetischen Initiative, fur die der Davidide Serubbabel und der Hohepriester Josua erst gewonnen werden mussten. Im dritten Teil kommen verstarkt Aspekte der Theologie in Haggai und Sacharja 1-8 zur Sprache. So wird die Bedeutung und die Funktion der Herrlichkeit und des Geistes JHWHs untersucht, die Konditionierung der unbedingten Heilsbotschaft Sacharjas in ihren Fortschreibungen in Sach 1,1-6 sowie die Volkertheologie der beiden fruhnachexilischen Propheten. Abgeschlossen wird der Band durch Studien zur Berufung und Sendung Sacharjas, zur Rolle des Deuteengels sowie durch Reflexionen zum Verhaltnis von Prophetie und Predigt.
