English summary: The “Ka” played a central and complex role in Egyptian religion throughout the ages. As a life-force whose essence is reflective of aspects of the sun-god, the Ka is associated strongly with Re, especially named in the divine group of the “Fourteen Kas of Re,” in diverse sources. Since the time of Ptolemy VIII, the Fourteen Kas of Re were depicted in the image of gift-bearers in the area of the sacred column in temples, with female counterparts assigned to them known as the Hemuset goddesses. Although the sacred processions of these Ka-divinities and the Hemuset goddesses is well attested in at least eleven sanctuaries for over two-hundred and fifty years, hey have not received as much attention in research as other procession types. Bettina Ventker’s new contribution in the study of the decoration on the lower part of walls (often called the soubassement) explores the question of what distinguishes the Kas and Hemusets processions, how they differed from other processions and what specific meaning the spirits have in the context of ancient Egyptian religion. All of the inscriptions, which are partly parallel texts, are transliterated, translated and annotated and placed in the context of other sources related to the Fourteen Kas on temple soubassement. The texts, which have been fully analyzed for the first time, reveal an essential aspect of the multi-layered Ka term, which finds its expression above all in the soubassement: The Ka aspects as a dynastic principle guarantee the legitimacy and continuity of the secular and divine rule of domination. German description: Der “Ka” nimmt zu allen Zeiten eine zentrale und komplexe Rolle in der agyptischen Religion ein. Als Lebenskrafte und Wesensaspekte des Sonnengottes tritt er in 14 namentlich benannten Ka-Aspekten (die Gottergruppe der “14 Kas des Re”) in diversen Quellen auf. Seit der Zeit Ptolemaios VIII. sind die 14 Kas des Re in der Gestalt von Gabenbringern im Sockelbereich belegt, wobei ihnen als weibliche Entsprechungen die Hemuset-Gottinnen zugeordnet werden. Obwohl in einem Zeitraum von ca. 250 Jahren in nicht weniger als elf Heiligtumern Prozessionen der Ka-Genien und der Hemuset-Gottinnen nachgewiesen werden konnen, ist ihnen in der Forschung bislang nicht dieselbe Aufmerksamkeit zuteil geworden wie anderen Prozessionstypen. Bettina Ventker geht in ihrem neuen Beitrag zu den Soubassementstudien der Frage nach, wodurch sich die Prozessionen der Kas und Hemusut auszeichnen, wie sie sich von anderen abgrenzen und welche spezifische Bedeutung den Genien in diesem Kontext zukommt. Hierzu werden alle Inschriften, bei denen es sich teilweise um Paralleltexte handelt, transliteriert, ubersetzt und kommentiert und mit weiteren Quellen zu den 14 Kas ausserhalb der Soubassement-Dekoration in Beziehung gesetzt. Die erstmals vollstandig analysierten Texte zeigen einen wesentlichen Aspekt des vielschichtigen Ka-Begriffes auf, der vor allem im Soubassement seinen Ausdruck findet: Die Ka-Aspekte garantieren als dynastisches Prinzip die Legitimitat und Kontinuitat der weltlichen und gottlichen Herrschaftsordnung.
