Esta obra puede considerarse come un complemento al Nuevo Testamento trilingue que el autor publico, en colaboracion con J. M. Bover (Madrid, 1977). O’ Callaghan pretende ahora atender de modo exaustivo a la oscilacion de diversos traductores de habla espanola en los puntos que en el texto original pueden crear una especial dificultad interpretativa, que son los indicados en The Greek New Testament, editado pr K. Aland, M. Black, C. M. Martini, B. M. Metzger y A. Wikgren (Stuttgart 1975). Tomando, pues, come punto de partida las variantes de etsa edicion critica, se ha procurado ver como se definen, con respecto a las mismas, veinticinquo traductores espanoles, a partir de J. M. Valverde en 1966.
