Le Nouveau Testament, petite bibliotheque composee de vingt-sept ecrits, retenus au terme de trois generations du mouvement chretien, est entierement ecrit en grec. Ces ecrits sont beaux. Ils ne disent pas seulement le vrai, leurs auteurs arrivent a le dire avec art. C’est que l’evenement christique a provoque une litterature de qualite. Ceux qui ont cherche a temoigner de leur experience dans leur rencontre avec ce Jesus, reconnu comme Christ, ont ete pousses de l’interieur a des formulations tout sauf banales. Osons donc une analyse esthetique du Nouveau Testament. Pour chaque auteur et chaque livre en particulier le commentateur offre quelques echantillons particulierement revelateurs du bien dit et du Beau. Stylistique, rhetorique, art de la composition, la forme sous tous ses aspects, depuis les plus petites unites comme les syllabes jusqu’au projet litteraire d’une uvre entiere, comme Luc-Actes, font l’objet de ce commentaire.
