Nelle lettere paoline la riconciliazione e intesa come trasformazione.Trasformazione del sistema di valori che permette il vanto di un credente in Cristo, trasformazione dei nemici in figli, trasformazione del credente in ministro e ambasciatore di Dio, trasformazione delle cause dell’inimicizia in un’umanita nuova dove le differenze non sono piu motivo di separazione ne di divisione. Trasformazione del creato e delle creature in quanto esse raggiungono il proposito per cui sono state create. La comprensione della riconciliazione come creazione, cioe come trasformazione dei soggetti – del loro modo di guardare, valutare e giudicare altri soggetti e situazioni – e un processo che corrisponde alla procedura teologica rilevata nell’epistolario paolino. Il modo in cui il pensiero paolino addensa una categoria biblica coincide, di fatto, con la riflessione teologica che attraversa il pensiero paolino. In questo processo le categorie bibliche (creazione) – che indicano anche la continuita dell’agire divino – sono reinterpretate mediante categorie non bibliche (riconciliazione), indicando in questo modo la novita’ o il riproporsi dell’iniziativa divina in favore degli esseri umani.
