Trotz dieser Bedeutung gibt es bisher keine umfassende Untersuchung zu Gottes Geist in den Schriften des Alten Testaments. Mareike Verena Blischke versucht, diese Lucke zu schliessen. Nach einer Untersuchung der einzelnen Aussagen zu Gottes Geist in den erzahlenden Buchern, bei den Propheten und in den Psalmen zeichnet sie die Entwicklung im Reden von Gottes Geist bis in die Schriften aus Qumran und das deuterokanonische Schrifttum hinein nach.
