La grammatica del Greco del Nuovo Testamento di P. Maximilian Zerwick SJ, non e una grammatica classica con declinazioni, classi degli aggettivi, coniugazioni verbali e paradigmi, e non e destinata a coloro che vogliono iniziare ad apprendere i rudimenti della lingua greco-biblica. Essa presuppone la conoscenza della lingua greca e presenta in maniera sistematica le particolarita e caratteristiche del greco biblico ricorrendo a esempi presi nel Nuovo Testamento. In questo modo vengono chiariti i vari fenomeni grammaticali e sintattici e si offre al lettore una comprensione piu chiara e profonda del messaggio contenuto nei testi neotestamentari. Il risultato di questo metodo e continuo andare e venire dalla teoria all’applicazione e dall’applicazione alla teoria. Questa grammatica non e nata di getto, ma e andata crescendo con il trascorrere degli anni, e stata costantemente accresciuta, corretta e ampliata fino ad arrivare alla quinta edizione latina. E’ uscita anche in traduzione inglese e spagnola (nel 1963 e nel 1997). L’opera di Zerwick conserva ancora oggi tutto il suo pregio e valore.
