Psalm 9/10 im konzeptionellen Diskurs und literarischen Kontext

English summary: Dirk Sager sees Psalm 9/10 as a defining text which puts the existing expressions of prayer into a dialectical concept and interprets them as the voices of the ‘poor and the wretched’. In these however the authors refer to older psalms in which the persons at prayer do not call themselves ‘wretched and poor’. As a result, the conventional line of tradition which was known as the ‘piety of the poor’ turns out to be an integral part of Israel’s religious history. The author compares the double Psalm with the drafts of psalms, prophecy and wisdom which originated at about the same time and had similar concepts and shows that it was written during the transition from the Persian to the Hellenistic epoch of post-exilic Judah. German description: Dirk Sager versteht Psalm 9/10 als einen programmatischen Text, der vorhandene Gebetsausserungen (Lob, Klage, Vertrauen) zu einem dialektischen Konzept verarbeitet und als Stimmen von ‘Elenden und Armen’ interpretiert. Dabei beziehen sich die Schreiber auf altere Psalmen, in denen sich die Beter selbst jedoch nicht als ‘elend und arm’ bezeichnen. In der Konsequenz entpuppt sich die herkommlich unter dem Begriff ‘Armenfrommigkeit’ gefasste Traditionslinie als integraler Bestandteil der Religionsgeschichte Israels und nicht als Sonderzweig elitarer Gruppen. Der Autor vergleicht Psalm 9/10 mit ihm zeitlich und konzeptionell nahe stehenden Entwurfen aus dem Bereich der Psalmen, der Prophetie und der Weisheit und bringt so den vielstimmigen Diskurs uber die Lage der Bedrangten ans Licht. Dabei zeigen sich ein engerer und ein weiterer Diskurszusammenhang. Diese Diskurse sind untereinander kompatibel und haben etwa denselben sozialgeschichtlichen Hintergrund, namlich den Ubergang von der persischen zur hellenistischen Epoche des nachexilischen Juda (4. Jh. v. Chr.). Die Psalm 9/10 inharente Programmatik erschliesst zudem dessen hervorragenden Platz im Gefuge des ersten Davidpsalters (Ps. 3-41) sowie seine Rolle im Zuge der literarischen Komposition dieser Psalmen. Im Konzert mit seinen Nachbartexten entsteht so eine ‘Polyphonie des Elends’, in der sich parallele und tangentiale Armenkonzepte gegenseitig interpretieren.
