English summary: The use of paideuo in the Septuagint has traditionally been seen as a change in Jewish religious thinking, from a God who corrects (yasar) to one who educates (paideuo). Patrick Pouchelle, however, examines in this study the reasons Jewish translators would have chosen the Greek paideuo to translate the Hebrew yasar, offering a new interpretation of the question. French description: Depuis les etudes de Bertram, on pense que l’utilisation de (paideuo) dans la Septante temoigne d’un changement dans la pensee religieuse juive de la periode hellenistique. L’idee hebraique d’un Dieu qui corrige (yasar) son peuple laisse la place a un Dieu qui l’eduque (paideuo) vers la vertu. Pourtant, (paideuo) est clairement utilise dans la Septante pour designer une correction corporelle, sens qu’il ne possede pas en grec classique. Patrick Pouchelle tente une nouvelle approche: apres avoir etabli la correspondance entre (yasar) et (paideuo), il va analyser la racine (yasar) dans l’hebreu classique et les mots de la famille de (paideuo) dans le grec classique et la koine. Il tachera d’expliquer pourquoi les traducteurs ont choisi (paideuo) pour traduire (yasar). War der Gott in der Septuaginta die hebraische Vorstellung von einem Gott, der diszipliniert, oder stellt er das griechische Ideal der Bildung dar? Patrick Pouchelle schlagt einen neuen Ansatz fur dieses Problem vor. Indem er die lexikalische Aquivalenz zwischen (yasar) und (paideuo) begrundet, erklart er, warum die griechischen Ubersetzer (yasar) mit (paideuo) ubersetzt haben und so die Anbindung an die hebraische Bibel aufrecht erhielten.
