This collection of essays employs a sustained multi-perspectival comparative approach to the reception of Mark and Matthew in diverse interpretive settings from the 1st to the 21st century, with special attention to cultural hermeneutics and theology. The present book is the second in a larger project dedicated to comparative analysis of the earliest Gospels.
