These conference proceedings provide an inventory of the most recent research-specifically devoted to textual problems-on the Greek-speaking authors, grammarians, rhetoricians, and sophists who wrote in Gaza in the last quarter of the fifth and the first forty years of the sixth century. The contributions of 25 specialists are organized according to a multidisciplinary thematic path, with the preserved works-of which some have just recently been discovered or reattributed-primarily dealing with rhetoric, while also informing on history, science, philosophy, and poetry.
