Il concetto di nomos nel Pentateuco greco. Questo studio di Pasinya Laurent Monsengwo e la prima tesi di Sacra Scrittura scritta da un africano. L’auteur a montre que, par l’emploi du mot nomos, les traducteurs alexandrins n’ont pas donne a la Torah une portee legaliste. C’est plutot l’inverse qui s’est produit: en faisant entrer ce terme dans la version grecque, les traducteurs l’ont fortement reinterprete et lui ont donne la resonance qu’avait le mot Torah en hebreu; et meme, par des legeres retouches, ils ont cherche a souligner, mieux encore que le texte massoretique lui-meme, que la Loi doit etre comprise avant tout en un sens global: elle est la divine revelation, etroitement liee a l’Alliance.
