English summary: Terences The Eunuch is undoubtedly his most beloved, and also one of the most popular, Latin plays. Terence deftly balances humor and drama in this play, wherein the characters are woven together by his fine attention to complex dramaturgical thread, literary games, and the mechanics of the play itself. This is the first modern French commentary of The Eunuch , followed by a new scholarly translation.
