Publiee pour la premiere fois a partir d’un seul manuscrit, cette version ethiopienne de la passion de Pierre d’Alexandrie vient ajouter une piece interessante au dossier hagiographique de celui que la tradition copte et ethiopienne venere comme le dernier des martyrs, parce qu’avec lui se termine en 311 la persecution contre les Chretiens en Egypte. A la passion dont elle s’inspire est ajoutee une serie de miracles du saint, puis un malke’ de trente-trois strophes exalte les membres de son corps.
