The thirty-two contributions in this volume are dedicated to the main exegetical and literary-historical problems of the Hebrew Bible as well as questions of history, linguistics, and hermeneutics. They are divided into seven sections: Pentateuch, Major Prophets, Minor Prophets, Writings, Historical Questions, Linguistic Questions, and Hermeneutical Questions.
Der vorliegende Band umfasst Beitrage zu samtlichen Teilen des masoretischen Kanons und exegetischen und literargeschichtlichen Zentralproblemen in allen Teilen der Hebraischen Bibel sowie ferner zu historischen, linguistischen und hermeneutischen Fragen. Die Beitrage entstanden angeregt vom exegetischen Programm Erhard Blums. In Auseinandersetzung mit seinem Werk legen dreiunddreissig Fachkollegen und Freunde Untersuchungen vor, die sich mit Pentateuch, den Propheten und den Schriften befassen. Erhard Blum lehrt die biblischen Uberlieferungen als adressatenbezogene Mitteilungsliteratur zu verstehen. So wenig sie selbst akademische Glasperlenspiele sind, so wenig kann es ihre Auslegung sein. Umgekehrt erweist sich die damit aufgeworfene Frage nach dem Eigensinn der jeweiligen Uberlieferung als entscheidender Schlussel auch zur Rekonstruktion ihrer Entstehung.
