The men of Judges oscillate in their reception between glorification and accusation, between heroes of Israel and perpetrators of sexual violence. In this book, the judges are interpreted anew by means of psychoanalytically inspired interpretation. Insights from psychotraumatology, feminist exegesis, pastoral care theory and recourses to modern literature serve to explicate structural transfers.
