Die ägyptischen Motive in der Glyptik des östlichen Mittelmeerraumes zu Anfang des 2. Jts. v. Chr.
In der vorliegenden Studie werden verschiedene agyptische Motive und Figuren, die in der Steinschneidekunst Palastinas, Libanons und Syriens zu Anfang des 2. Jts. v. Chr. neben den heimischen Figuren und Motiven auftraten, naher untersucht. Die Einflussnahme der Kunst des Nillandes auf die altlevantinische Siegelkunst reicht von einer Ubernahme einzelner Symbole uber agyptische Gotterfiguren bis zur Wiedergabe des agyptischen Konigs und ganzer Ritualszenen . Die in der Untersuchung berucksichtigten Rollsiegel sind in einem Katalogteil zusammengestellt und die auf diesen dargestellten agyptischen Figuren und Szenen werden detailliert beschrieben. Es wird somit ein Corpus der agyptischen Elemente, Motive und Szenen erstellt, die auf altlevantinischen Siegelbilden auftraten. Im weiteren wird fur jedes Motiv nach einer vergleichbaren Darstellung im Nilland selbst gesucht, um die intensive Auseinandersetzung der Siegelschneider mit der agyptischen Kunst herauszustellen. Durch den Vergleich des agyptischen Bildschatzes auf den Rollsiegeln mit den Bildquellen des Nillandes wird die Parallelitat zwischen den Siegelmotiven und den Bildquellen des Mittleren Reiches Agyptens (12. – 13. Dynastie) aufgezeigt. Im zweiten Teil der Untersuchung wird eine Zusammenschau der Quellen geboten, die fur eine Darstellung der Beziehungen zwischen Agypten und den Landern des ostlichen Mittelmeerraumes wahrend des Mittleren Reiches ausgewertet werden konnen, wobei die Mit-rahina-Inschrift des Konigs Amenemhet II. besondere Berucksichtigung findet.
