German description: In der massenmedialen Kommunikation begegnen wir einer unterschiedlichen Qualitat und Quantitat an Informationen, empfinden sie in unterschiedlichem Masse als relevant oder nebensachlich und weisen ihnen nicht zuletzt auch einen bestimmten Wahrheitswert zu. Eine solche Rezeption von Informationen findet stets an der Schnittstelle zur logischen oder nur scheinlogischen Argumentation, zur Persuasion oder auch unethischen Manipulation, statt. Die im Band vereinten Beitrage befassen sich aus kontrastiver Perspektive mit alltaglichen, individuellen und journalistischen Online- und Offline-Texten und umfassen zugleich Diskursbereiche der politischen, propagandistischen, autoritativen, genderbasierten, kommerziellen, pandemischen, religiosen und stadtisch-offentlichen Kommunikation. English summary: In mass media communication, we encounter a different quality and quantity of information, perceive it as relevant or irrelevant to varying degrees and, not least, assign it a certain truth value. This reception of information always takes place at the interface of logical or merely illogical argumentation, persuasion or even unethical manipulation. The contributions in this volume deal with everyday, individual and journalistic online and offline texts from a contrastive perspective and include discourse areas of political, propagandistic, authoritative, gender-based, commercial, pandemic, religious and urban-public communication.
