Die Wunderforschung beruhrt den Kern christlicher Theologie im Allgemeinen und neutestamentlicher Forschung im Besonderen, denn mit der Wunderfrage stellen sich neben der Machtfrage zentrale Fragen nach den Konzepten von Wirklichkeit und nach der Weltwirksamkeit Gottes innerhalb und ausserhalb der Texte des Neuen Testaments. Michael Rydryck entwirft eine konsequent wirklichkeitshermeneutische Wunderdefinition und fokussiert auf dieser Basis Strafwunder in den Texten des Lukasevangeliums und der Apostelgeschichte als eine bislang in der Forschung kaum berucksichtigte Form von Wundern. Dabei zeigt sich, dass Strafwunder keineswegs Ausdruck eines ruckstandigen Gottesbildes oder einer antiken Wundersucht sind, sondern unverzichtbarer Bestandteil einer genuin theologischen Deutung von Wirklichkeit in den Texten des lukanischen Doppelwerkes.
