This work presents a bilingual edition of the original ten dialogues from La Circeby Giovan Battista Gelli, which were a great European success from the moment they were first published in 1549. It also includes a new translation to follow on from that of Denis Sauvage, published in 1550, and one by an anonymous seventeenth-century translator.

DansLa Circe, Ulysse dialogue avec des Grecs metamorphoses en betes : sur onze animaux interroges, un seul accepte de retrouver sa forme premiere et de rentrer dans sa patrie, tous les autres mettent en avant les mille miseres de la condition humaine. Cet ouvrage presente le texte original d'apres l'edition florentine de 1549, et une nouvelle traduction qui fait suite a celle de Denis Sauvage, parue en 1550, et a celle d'un traducteur anonyme du XVIIsiecle.Edition bilingue italien-francais.
