Il contient sept entrees : quatre du roi, qui correspondent a la consolidation de son autorite, et trois autres a portee moins politique, celles de Mme de La Guiche, du duc de Savoie et des Bellievre, pere et fils. Pour la plupart, les livrets sont inedits depuis la Renaissance. Nous les analysons par le biais de l'evenement, du texte et du rituel. Cette triade permet ainsi de voir le contexte historique de l'entree, l'organisation de la ville hotesse, l'histoire du roi, la symbolique des solennites ephemeres, les nombreuses sources litteraires des inscriptions et le rituel dans son rapport de sociabilite et de reciprocite.
