Der vierte und abschliessende Band der Hundhausen-Edition enthalt die bisher ermittelten Korrespondenzen. Diese beziehen sich teils auf die von Hundhausen herausgegebenen Festschriften des Deutschen Seminars an der Pekinger Universitat, teils auf die Anthologie Lyrik des Ostens. Eine sehr umfangreiche Korrespondenz fuhrte Hundhausen mit Rudolf Pannwitz; darin erlautert er seine Anschauungen von Literatur und Theater und berichtet uber die Gastspiele seiner Theatergruppe in Europa; da Hundhausen von den Nazis keine Einreiseerlaubnis nach Deutschland bekam, loste sich seine Truppe schnell auf. Als wichtiger Beleg fur Hundhausens politische Einstellung wird seine klare Absage an die Grundung einer Deutschen Gemeinde in Peking reproduziert. Ein Abbildungsteil dokumentiert Hundhausens Leben und Werk.
