Immer wieder zeigt sich dabei der schmale Grat zwischen Weisheit und Hybris. Eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Kritik am menschlichen Umgang mit Weisheit spielt die gottliche Ebene, wenn Weisheit als gottliche Qualitat aufgefasst wird oder die Weisen als Kontrastfolie fur die Vermittlung eines bestimmten Gottes- und Geschichtsbildes dienen.
