Pindare
Tome II: Pythiques
edited and translated by A. Puech
English summary: Pindar’s thirteen classical odes to the victors of the Pythian games are presented here in their original Greek and French translation. This edition presents a detailed history of the games and the Pythian sanctuary, as well as the manuscript tradition. An introduction and metrical outline precede each poem, and ample notes accompany the text.
