How do teams work in which professionals from different occupations are employed on an equal footing in a parish or region? What principles govern the work and what does this mean in practice? These questions are explored in an empirical study conducted in three regional churches. It offers an analysis of successful cooperation and conflictual situations. Based on case reconstructions, factors relevant to team processes, procedures and structures of multi-professional cooperation are presented.
