By (author) G. Isiksel
This book aims to show progress of Selim II’s (1566-1574) foreign policy by analyzing the principles, institutions and techniques underlying Ottoman diplomacy in this period. Through a cross-analysis of events and diplomatic institutions on the one hand and the official rhetoric and political culture on the other, this book addresses two levels of historical reality often studied separately.
