“Jesus, quo vadis?”

Jesus, quo vadis?” (“Whither do you go?”) – A great number of methodologies exists through which it is hoped that the figure of Jesus of Nazareth can be disclosed most expediently. Methods drawn from the fields of narratology, sociology, cultural anthropology and other branches of the humanities are found alongside of historical critical methods. In the first part of this book, international experts discuss some of the most important exegetical methods of current Jesus research. However, should we not also ask: “Jesus, quo vadamus?” (“Whither should we go?”) – Therefore, in the second part of the volume, experts in religious education and homiletics discuss these exegetical methods of Jesus research from their practical-theological perspective.
