English summary: The double issue 139/140 of the Yearbook for the History of Protestantism in Austria collects articles based on presentations at the conference “evangelisches:erinnern” (Vienna, April 2023). These articles ask how Protestants remember, how “Protestantism” is remembered, and research the various cultures of remembrance within and outside Austrian Protestantism. Experts from various academic fields, as well as representatives of local memory initiatives and memory projects from parishes and museums, search for traces of submerged memory, explore practiced cultures of remembrance, and examine self- and historical narratives within Austrian Protestantism and their relevance for the present.
