English summary: A sculpture probably conceived for the pediment of an archaic temple in Agrigentum, the Agrigento Warrior (490-480 B.C.) is presented in this study according to a new hypothesis of reconstruction, namely that it is a giant fallen in combat resting on his shield. Italian description: Scultura probabilmente concepita per il frontone di un tempio arcaico agrigentino, il Guerriero di Agrigento (490-480 a.C.) viene presentato in questo studio secondo una nuova ipotesi ricostruttiva che lo interpreta come un gigante caduto in combattimento e che si appoggia allo scudo.
