Seit du nicht mehr hier bist / ist die Zeit ein leerer Becher / Und gabe es noch etwas daraus zu trinken / es loschte keinen Durst Einen geliebten Menschen an die Demenz zu verlieren, ist fast nicht zu ertragen. Auch Ulrich Knellwolf lasst die Demenz seiner Frau fast verzweifeln. Dazu kommt die eigene Krebserkrankung, im Hintergrund wutet Russlands Krieg gegen die Ukraine. In dieser Zeit entstehen Gedichte, die fragen, hadern und klagen. So weisen sie den Weg zu einer Theologie, die nicht nur lobt und preist, sondern mit Gott kampft und ringt – mit einem Gott, der kein Gentlemen ist.
