| The presentation of the articles in this book is organized in five sections according to the colloquium’s oral presentations held in October 2018 in the new archaeological Museum Arethousa, in Chalkis, organized by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Euboia. The first section concerns topics with regard to the regions of Euboia and Skyros and the data of excavations ranging from Prehistoric to late Roman times. The next section highlights the Byzantine and post Byzantine finds. The third deals with the reconstruction, conservation and Enhancement Works in a series of monuments in Euboia. Upon the completion of the restorarion many monuments were opened to the public. Τhe fourth, presents the cultural identity and how the contemporary identities rely to ancient and historic Euboian Cultures. Finally, the last section demonstrates the culture of modern times in Euboia. |
