This anthology explores the question of how religious truth can be understood in a pluralistic society without eliminating differences or relativizing truth. From theological, religious studies, and religious education perspectives, as well as from the self-perception of various religious traditions, it shows that claims to truth are historical, communicative, and bound to tradition. The contributions develop new hermeneutical approaches that take religious otherness seriously while remaining open to dialogue. The volume thus makes a fundamental contribution to interreligious hermeneutics and to the theoretical reflection on religious plurality.
