Alexandre Comte etudie le chapitre 26 du Deuteronome a partir du travail de Gerhard von Rad ( Das formgeschichtliche Problem des Hexateuchs , 1938). Apres avoir pris acte des nombreuses critiques adressees a von Rad, l’auteur reevalue ses intuitions. Sans se limiter a la lecture du recit historique (Dt 26,5ass-9), l’auteur cherche a comprendre l’ensemble du chapitre 26, en considerant Dt 25,17-19 comme son introduction. A partir d’une analyse narrative, l’auteur demontre l’unite de la sequence formee par les deux rituels (offrande des premices et offrande de la dime) et son effet sur l’auditeur ou le lecteur dans le contexte du livre du Deuteronome. L’auteur met en evidence que Dt 25,17-26,19, place a la conclusion du corpus des lois, represente le moment heureux ou l’homme repond parfaitement au don de Dieu.
