Das lukanische Doppelwerk (Lukasevangelium und Apostelgeschichte) ist kein Evangelium mit einer Kirchengeschichte als (unpassender) Fortsetzung, sondern ein originarer einheitlicher Entwurf der Ursprungsgeschichte des Christentums, mit dem Lukas die Reichweite des kulturellen Gedachtnisses des (nachpaulinischen) Christentums seiner Zeit neu bestimmt.
