The volume presents a number of Arabic documents found in during 1966 expedition of the Egypt Exploration Society at Qasr Ibrim. With two exceptions part of a single corpus, most come from the Ottoman period between 1620 and 1759, though some date back to the 12th century. They deal largely with civil matters of sale. pledge, or gift; or military affairs, mostly connected with pay.
