English summary: The Acts of the Apostles is the second part of the Gospel of Luke and, as such, wants to be read with the same expectations as the prologue Lk 1,1-4: Here, an educated member of a contemporary movement writes for an equally educated interested audience. It is about the history of God with Israel, which has entered its crucial phase with Jesus of Nazareth, and the resulting Jesus movement and its expansion. The text is intended to appeal to readers on an existential level, just as ground-breaking as the sermons were on which it reports. This is no historiography covering everything in terms of time and space, but the author clearly wants to go beyond mere hearsay and provide reliable information.
