Bibbia tra orientalistica e storiografia

Questo volume si propone come manuale introduttivo per l’insegnamento nel II e III ciclo accademico di studi biblici, infatti introduce e orienta gli studenti alle problematiche di base, all’impostazione epistemologica e alla bibliografia essenziale in un campo di studi che, per natura sua, e necessariamente e decisamente interdisciplinare. Il volume offre quindi nozioni introduttive sul contributo dell’orientalistica e della teoria della storiografia per l’esegesi e la teologia biblica, nonche per la storiografia israelitica. La parte centrale del volume, articolata in quattro capitoli, affronta la Bibbia come collezione di testi di vario tipo e genere, prodotti da autori diversi, in epoche, luoghi, contesti storici e geografico-politico-culturali differenti. La prospettiva e naturalmente letteraria prima che teologica. L’Autore spiega, infine, come nel mondo occidentale si sia arrivati a considerare e utilizzare la Bibbia come “ossatura” della storia universale, e come questa impostazione sia poi entrata in crisi per effetto delle scoperte archeologiche e orientalistiche, del progresso delle scienze naturali e dello sviluppo teorico della metodologia stessa dell’esegesi biblica.
