The first volume of the new series ‘Foro Romano Palatino. Scavi e Ricerche” presents the Proceedings of the International Conference, organised by the “Parco Archeologico del Colosseo”, the Direzione Generale dei Musei and the Parco Archeologico di Pompei, entitled “Depositi In-visibili” (Invisible Deposits), which initiate reflections and ideas aimed at the protection and enhancement of museum deposits. A useful and stimulating discussion supported on various professional levels by archaeologists, architects, restorers, museologists, museographers and communicators on the central theme of the increasingly important role of the deposits of archaeological parks, areas and museums, collectors of disiecta membra, cultural assets to be preserved, protected, valorised, handed down and finally made In-visible.
