Le scelte di Cristina Trivulzio. Storia di un’emancipazione
by Silvana Bartoli
Born in 1808 into one of the wealthiest families of the Milanese aristocracy, Cristina Trivulzio seemed destined for a life of privilege but chose instead to make conscious use of her wealth to acquire independence, fighting for her own emancipation and for justice in solidarity with the weakest. Today, the need for a society that considers solidarity an edifying value is even greater and the figure of Cristina Trivulzio and her quest for independence stand as reminders to a world that remains reluctant to recognize the decisive role of women in history.
