German description: Der Romerbrief wurde verfasst, um den Konsequenzen entgegen zu wirken, die ein Scheitern des Paulus bei der bevorstehenden Kollektenubergabe in Jerusalem fur seine auf Spanien gerichteten Missionsplane haben wurde. Durch das Schreiben sollen die romischen Christinnen und Christen auf die Basis des paulinischen Evangeliums gestellt und somit befahigt werden, dieses Evangelium eigenstandig weiter zu verkundigen, falls der Apostel selbst an der Durchfuhrung seiner Plane gehindert werden sollte. Die Doppelperspektive auf Rom und Spanien, auf die Adressaten als Verkundigungs-Empfanger und potenziell selbststandige Verkundigungs-Trager sowie auf das Schreiben als Beginn und mogliches Ende der Kommunikation zwischen Paulus und romischer Adressatenschaft lasst den Romerbrief in mehrfacher Hinsicht zur Gratwanderung werden. Methodisch werden in dieser Arbeit zwei Untersuchungsperspektiven differenziert: die traditionelle, auf die Intention des Autors gerichtete Perspektive einerseits und die pragmatische, auf die Textfunktion gerichtete Perspektive andererseits.
