German description: Sind die letzten elf Kapitel des Jesajabuches (Tritojesaja) ein einheitliches Werk oder eine zufallige Sammlung von Erganzungen zu den fruheren Buchteilen? Diese Untersuchung zeigt auf, dass weder das eine noch das andere gilt. Vielmehr lassen sich diese Texte als unterschiedliche Stimmen in einer Debatte verstehen, die – ausgelost durch die Heilsvisionen in den Kapiteln 60 bis 62 – uber eine langere Zeit gefuhrt wurde. Eine Analyse der Texte, ihrer Entstehungsgeschichte und ihres Verhaltnisses zueinander fuhrt zu dem uberraschenden Ergebnis: Der Universalismus der tritojesajanischen Texte gehort in den Kontext der Verbreitung heidnischer Kulte. Jes 56 nimmt implizit Stellung zur Bedeutung der davidischen Dynastie. Der Erwahlungsgedanke erfahrt in Jes 56-66 eine radikale Wandlung, sodass vor allem der Mensch zum wahlenden Subjekt wird.
