English summary: This volume brings together eleven essays written by the Tubingen based Old Testament scholar Erhard Blum between 1975 and 2014. It supplements an existing collection titled “Textgestalt und Composition” containing work on parts of the canon that cover the Torah and the Major prophets (FAT 69) with work devoted to interdisciplinary aspects of the interpretation of the Old Testament. The volume examines aspects that include the nature of historical transmission of the Old Testament as well as methodical categories such as synchrony and form criticism. There are also some more philologically oriented studies for example on Elohim, the word used to describe God, or the old Hebrew verbal system. A third area of focus includes hermeneutic studies that consider the implications of the Christianity’s interpretation of the Old Testament in the context of its relationship with Judaism.
