Ein Kommentar zu Karl Barths Einfuhrung in die evangelische Theologie

Karl Barths letzte Basler Vorlesung von 1962 bietet eine knappe und pragnante Zusammenfassung seiner Hauptgedanken. Aus Anlass des Karl-Barth-Jahrs 2019 eroffnet der Kommentar zu seiner Einfuhrung in die evangelische Theologie, der gleichzeitig mit der kritischen Textausgabe erscheint, einen elementaren Zugang zu Barths Theologie. Die thematischen Schwerpunkte der 17 Vorlesungen werden diskutiert, theologie- und werkgeschichtlich verortet und in Bezug gesetzt zu ausgewahlten Texten aus andern Schaffensperioden Barths. Dabei werden immer auch Fragen nach der gegenwartigen Relevanz gestellt. Das Augenmerk gilt besonders dem pneumatologischen Profil und den pastoraltheologischen Zugen der Einfuhrung, die in der bisherigen Forschung noch wenig beachtet wurden. Dass vor allem Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen und -wissenschaftler an diesem Band mitgewirkt haben, zeigt: Die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit Barth wird auch kunftig konstitutiv zum Studium der evangelischen Theologie gehoren.
